Starting Again Amidst So Many Changes…
My house has been in a turmoil since the beginning of November, when an easy bathroom re-do turned into needing to replace the piping in the entire house. The old pipes, the old construction (our house is 60 years old) was, according to my contractor, “below sub-par”. (We haven’t used the shower in the master bathroom in a decade because water would come up UNDER the shower pan and onto the floor!) The pipes were rusted open and the ground beneath the slab was wet; the leaking pipes caused the soils to subside, which created a gap between the foundation and the soil that was supposed to support the slab.
So…yeah. Plus things are changing in my Day Job (which is not bad…just…changes). Plus I had to have two teeth out in September and won’t be able to get implants until September 2026 (that’s an ego blow, to be sure). Plus my writing is changing. SO MANY CHANGES!!!
I’ve been putting off getting my blog up and running again, and I decided tonight to just do it. Just…create it, no matter what, because my friends, I have written SO MANY BLOG POSTS in my brain it’s gotten crowded in there. And I haven’t put up the Yule tree yet, and we’re already into the second week of December. But I’m getting my office cleaned up (moar changes).
Anyway. I’m writing my paranormal women’s fiction novel, I’ve got witchy writing stuff in the background planning stages, I’m still going strong at the Day Job, I count my blessings regularly, and I am so very grateful to my friends for being there.
