So, the hubby, since I’m safely at the day job, decides he needs to see if he can get our smallest kayak on top of our Honda Fit. And when he does manage to get it on there and strapped down, he feels that he really can’t waste the opportunity – and so, therefore, goes kayaking without me. After properly taunting me with the below photo.
Harrumph. I hardly think that’s fair. But, as I’m snuffy with a head-cold and out-of-sorts from this book I’m currently working on (Candy Havens’ workshop is kicking me in the ass), and oh yeah have to be at the day job today, well then – I guess it’s okay.
But really. I could have used some baking in the sun today. (See, Brenda? I wasn’t joking – we do have kayaks, lol!)

Demon Soul, Blood Dreams and Demon Hunt are all available for the Kindle! Have you fallen into the Caine Brothers’ world yet?
Yep, a dose of sunshine and the smell of sea air would have been wonderful for your cold. I say take yourself out to an outdoor cafe for lunch, turn your face up to the sun for thirty minutes, sip a margarita and do some people watching.
That’ll be good for you and the book, but the afternoon work might not get done. ; )
I know. Sun would have been good. Today? I stayed inside all day and wrote my fingers to the bone, lol!
There’s a manmade canal near here which is surrounded by a park. I take Cosmo walking in this park and have been surprised at how many people use this canal to kayak. I wasn’t even aware it was such a popular sport. LOL
Catie, there are parts of the Los Angeles river where it is possible to take a canoe (I think) – guided, and only at certain times of the year. But I think that’s really nifty, to have canals to kayak in.
I’d love to be going with him. In fact, my upcoming blog is all about kayaking.
Ooh! I’ll look forward to it!
I have a canoe that I haven’t taken out in over a year. It’s too big for me to do by myself. But seeing your kayak makes me want to especially with the weather changing
Went kayaking without you? Surely that’s grounds for a major hissy fit. But, then, he has other endearing attributes. And he was only trying it out to see if it would work. Good job with the padding between kayak and Fit’s top.
